Firstly this is a reblog ! But,
worth reading. This is a story about Muttu Kumar – a boy from Hampi, India. A
village boy whose parents were separated at early age and he had to earn his
living. He is a boy who hardly went to school yet knows Kannad, Hindi, French,
German, Italian and English as well.
He is usual but unusual. He
studied for 6 years in school. Later on left school and started selling
postcards as he lived in a very well known tourist place called Hampi where the
famous Virupaksha Temple is located. Due to stick communication he managed to
learn English and earn his living. His aim is to buy an autorickshaw, a vehicle
that he wants to use to transport his tourist members from one place to another
and expand his business.
Some of you may think that buying an
autorickshaw and that being his dream is kind of funny but remember what u did
at the age of 18? What were u planning at that age? Of course! Cultural differences
play a great role! No doubt!
Moreover, while telling about his life
he mentions about his sister who got married and left their home to live at her
husband’s place, according to the Indian tradition. You can find out more about
him on Global lives Project site. There is a video where he tells about his
life journey. The link is posted below! Have a look!
